12 suspects alleged in the Songkhla bombings, detained

12 suspects alleged in last night’s Songkhla bombing have been arrested by police. All suspects will be interrogated and their profile will be unveiled to the authorities. The attacks were made near three convenient stores, a restaurant, and three ATM booths Saturday evening (August 2nd).

Five blasts were carreied out in Muang district and two others in Hat Yai. The attacks results in two serious injured while three others received minor injuries. Following the incidents, authorities have increased highest security checks in the attacked areas, including four check-points at the boroughs of Bo-yang (บ่อยาง), Baan Thung Yai (บ้านทุ่งใหญ่), Songkhla-Chana (สงขลา-จะนะ) and Suan 72 Phansa (สวน 72 พรรษา) in Songkhla.
