12 die in Karachi road accident
June 19th, 2011 - 3:18 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 19 (IANS) Twelve people were killed and a dozen others injured early Sunday when the van in which they were travelling overturned in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi, police said.
The accident occurred around 3.00 a.m. on the Makran Coastal Highway. The vehicle was carrying about 30 people, Xinhua reported quoting the local Express TV channel. The injured were shifted to a hospital.
A traffic police officer said the accident occurred due to overspeeding.
