12 Chinese kids killed as school bus overturns
December 12th, 2011 - 11:45 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Dec 12 (IANS) At least 12 students of a primary school were killed in east China Monday evening after their school bus overturned.
The accident took place at about 6.00 p.m. in Fengxian county of Xuzhou city in Jiangsu province, Xinhua reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, the bus driver was trying to avoid hitting a vehicle when the accident happened.
The bus belongs to the primary school of Zhanghoutun village in Fengxian, said a spokesperson with the Xuzhou municipal government.
