111 personnel get president’s police medal
January 25th, 2012 - 9:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) On the eve of Republic Day, 111 personnel from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Delhi Police, Border Security Force (BSF) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were Wednesday named for the president’s police medal.
As many as 24 CBI personnel were named for the award. Six of them will receive the president’s police medal for distinguished service while 18 will get it for meritorious service.
Delhi Police came in for 20 police medals — three of them for distinguished service and 17 for meritorious service.
Fourteen ITBP officials were conferred the president’s police medal for gallantry, distinguished service and meritorious service.
As many as 53 medals, including one police medal for gallantry, six for distinguished service and 46 for meritorious service, were conferred on BSF personnel.
