101,072 Indian Hajis reach Saudi Arabia
October 25th, 2011 - 10:03 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS) A total of 101,072 Indian Haj pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia. And 46 have died.
According to the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, 97,405 of them are in Makkah and the others in Madinah. They came in 356 flights.
A total of 46 Indian pilgrims have expired, the mission said. Thirty-nine of them came through the Haj Committee of India and seven through private tour operators.
The Haj flights took off from Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, New Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Ranchi and Varanasi.
