10 people ill after inhaling poisonous gas in Rourkela
November 19th, 2008 - 12:37 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Nov 19 (IANS) At least 10 people fell ill after inhaling poisonous gas that leaked from a government-run steel plant in Orissa’s Rourkela city. Police said the condition of five was stated to be critical.The gas leaked from a blast furnace at the Rourkela Steel Plant, about 470 km from the state capital here, Inspector General of Police Pranabidu Achary told IANS over the phone.
The Rourkela Steel Plant is a unit of the public sector Steel Authority of India Ltd.
