10 killed in Pakistan shrine blasts (Lead)
April 3rd, 2011 - 8:40 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, April 3 (IANS) At least 10 people were killed and over 30 injured Sunday afternoon in twin bombings that ripped through a shrine in Pakistan’s Punjab province, an official said.
The blasts took place at at about 5.40 p.m. in the Sakhi Sarwar shrine in Dera Ghazi Khan district, Geo News reported.
Hundreds of people, including women and children, had gathered at the shrine in the afternoon, an official said.
Rescue officials said the toll could rise.
The condition of several injured was critical, district official Iftikhar said.
