10 killed in Pakistan drone strike
May 24th, 2012 - 3:30 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 24 (IANS) At least 10 suspected militants were killed Thursday in a US drone strike in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region, media reports said.
Two missiles were fired by the drone at a compound in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Xinhua reported.
Local media reported that many among the killed and injured were civilians.
Residents feared more strikes as five drones were seen hovering over the area following the attack.
On Wednesday, drones fired two missiles at a house suspected to be a militant hideout in Miranshah town of North Waziristan, killing five people.
At least 108 people have been killed in such strikes this year.
