10 killed in firecracker shop blaze

- Chennai, Oct 16 (IANS) At least 10 people were killed and several injured in a blaze at a firecracker shop Friday night in Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu.
The cracker shop was functioning out of a godown located behind a rice mill in Palipattu village and many people were there buying crackers on the eve of Diwali.
Suddenly fire started and gutted down the cracker shop, killing nearly 10 people and injuring several others.
Two fire tenders doused the fire.
The Pallipattu police are investigating.
