10 kg drugs seized in Himachal
November 17th, 2011 - 10:11 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Nov 17 (IANS) Two residents of Mumbai carrying over 10 kg of drugs worth Rs.50 lakh were arrested in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district early Thursday, police said.
Mukesh Kumar, 51, and Lalita Devi, 35, will be produced in a court Friday.
The two, travelling in a bus bound for Uttarakhand, were caught during routine checking in Kala Amb, 17 km from Nahan town, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhag Mal Thakur told IANS.
During interrogation, they said the charas or cannabis was procured from Jammu. They were on their way to Haridwar from Katra near Jammu.
