Caretaker Minister of Labour, Mrs. Uraiwan Tienthong, insisted she would implement no new policy as the matter rests with her successor.
Caretaker Minister of Labour, Mrs. Uraiwan Tienthong, said after a meeting with Ministry of Labor’s officials today that the meeting reviewed policies and work plans as well as exchanging participatns’ opinions to insure efficiency in the operation of the ministry.
Mrs. Uraiwan, however, said that no new policy would be implemented as it’s the new minister’s jobs.
The minister added that the Labour Ministry’s main functin was creating jobs for general public to work both in the country and overseas as we;; as monitoring their well being and ensuring their being treated fairly. She said that the country’s unemployment has reduced considerably as it was affected by prevailing economic situation.
Mrs. Uraiwan refused to comment on her successor’s policies.
