Thai Permanent Representative to the United Nations Don Pramudwinai (ดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย) revealed to the media that the UN Security Council has postponed considering a request by Cambodia to intervene in Thailand and Cambodia’s border conflict. The council has moved issuing a decision until tomorrow.
International Media and the Security Council itself reveal that the emergency meeting is still mulling over the issue and Cambodia’s request. Member nations of the council have expressed concerned for the issue and admitted that the council must take responsibility in diffusing the situation and instilling peace.
The 15 members of the Security Council are also seeking further support for Thailand and Cambodia, including from amongst ASEAN nations, to come to a cooperative solution.
