The Thai Environment Institute (TEI) and the alliance of more than 40 public and private sectors organized a seminar to deal with weather changes and global warming.
The TEI Chairman, Mr. Sanit Aksornkaew, said this activity was held to celebrate the 15th anniversary of TEI. He said a network of over 2,000 people joined this event to help find ways to tackle global warming in the Thai society, and another aim of this seminar was to deal with the changing weather conditions and their impacts on the Thai agricultural sector and marine resources. He said drought and epidemics concerning animals and plants were discussed during the seminar.
Besides small discussions and exhibitions about global warming, local villagers, and academics exchanged their ideas and information in an attempt to find better solutions for global warming.
Mr. Sumeth Tantivejjakul, the Chai Pattana Foundation secretary-general, also delivered a speech about His Majesty the King’s royal initiation of solving environmental problems and global warming.
