Supreme Army Commander General Boonsarng Niempradit (บุญสร้าง เนียมประดิษฐ์) commented on the possibility of clashes between the People’s Alliance for Democracy and pro-government demonstrators, admitting that there is a genuine threat of conflict if a proper Prime Minister is not chosen.

General Boonsarng assured however that security personnel are continuing their efforts to oversee peacefulness and urged all parties to abstain from using force or any actions that may incite violence. He stated that Thai people must be united and affirmed that the military is closing following the orderliness of the nation.
