Suphan Buri authority issues measure to protect local consumers
September 29th, 2008 - 3:07 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiSuphan Buri Governor Somsak Phurisrisak (สมศักย์ ภูรีศรีศักดิ์) reveals that local authority has been instructed to observe the price movements of products and services in the province, adding that the move aims to prevent entrepreneurs taking advantages from consumers amidst the economic crisis.
Mr. Somsak says the measure has been in practice since June 25th, 2008 and will be over on October 2nd, 2008. Despite the expiration of the activity coming closer, Mr. Somsak views the period of activity should be extended. He says those who are found violating the measure will be fined or will face a jail term. He says next extended period is scheduled to start from October 3rd, 2008 onward.
