SET Index closed 2.08 percent lower yesterday
August 9th, 2008 - 9:17 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index lost 14.65 points on Friday (August 8th), or 2.08 percent lower, to close at 690.70. The market value was around 16,364,500,000 baht, with about 2,710,669,000 shares being traded.
Yesterday, the SET100 Index closed at 1,051.58 points, decreasing by 26.26, or 2.44 percent lower. The SET50 Index closed at 487.60 points, decreasing by 12.35, or 2.47 percent lower. The FSTHL Index also went down 20.18 points, or 2.43 percent lower, to close at 809.92. The Market for Alternative Investment (mai) Index however gained 2.63 points, or 1.06 percent higher, to close at 250.52.
The top five most active values were as follows.
PTTEP decreased to 150.00 baht, down by 6.00 (-3.85%).
PTT decreased to 256.00 baht, down by 8.00 (-3.03%).
BANPU increased to 390.00 baht, up by 8.00 (+2.09%).
TOP decreased to 53.50 baht, down by 0.50 (-0.93%).
PTTAR increased to 25.00 baht, up by 0.10 (+0.40%).
