PWA to not cut state offices off from water

August 28th, 2008 - 4:02 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi -

The Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) will continue releasing tap water to state organizations as usual and bolster security in all waterworks authority areas in an attempt to prevent ill-intentioned people from cutting its water distributor machines.

In response to the PAD’s declaration to lay siege at state offices and cut of water to the offices, PWA governor Chawalit Sarun (ชวลิต สารันต์) affirms that the PWA has no policies to discontinue releasing tap water to state organizations.

Mr. Chawalit says PWA has many subsidiaries countrywide and all offices are ordered to tighten security to protect PWA’s properties and belongings. He says if the security is breached by perpetrators, PWA’s tap water customers may experience tap water shortages. He says properties and facilities, particularly water purifying building, water distributing machines and containers, will be monitored around the clock.
