Public Relations offices of the north go on high alert following PAD activity against Bangkok NBT station
August 26th, 2008 - 1:42 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiDirector of the Area 3 Public Relations Office in Chiang Mai Somjai Sasomsup (สมใจ สะสมทรัพย์) revealed that following the People’s Alliance for Democracy’s (PAD) taking of the NBT station in Bangkok, she has contacted provincial police to assist in securing the office. Security personnel of the office have become stringent checks on incoming and outgoing visitors and Miss Somjai has asked for the cooperation of citizens to insure the safety of the office.
The director also has instructed all broadcast posts in the 8 northern provinces area to keep a close watch on their offices. She stated however that the situation remains normal at the Chiang Mai radio and television center.
