PTT announces benzene and diesel price reduction
August 6th, 2008 - 1:47 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe PTT Company has announced a price reduction for benzene fuel and diesel fuel effective August 7.
Chief Executive Officer and President of the PTT Company, Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun (ประเสริฐ บุญสัมพันธ์), reveals that his copmany is preparing to implement a 50 satang price reduction for benzene fuel and a 1 baht price reduction for diesel fuel from 5 AM tomorrow (August 7).
Mr. Prasert attributed the price reduction to a slight decrease in global oil prices, and the lack of negative effects of Tropical Storm Edouard on the United State’s oil production capabilities. A massive liquidation of gold, steel, and oil funds has also contributed to adjustments in global oil prices.
The CEO of PTT adds that this is the 12th time that the PTT Company has reduced its benzene and disel fuel prices, for a cumulative price reduction of 8.60 - 9.20 baht per liter.
