Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Doctor Surapong Suebwonglee (สุรพงษ์ สืบวงศ์ลี) denied rumors that the parliament will be dissolved ahead of the Constitution Tribunal’s declaration of a verdict on the Prime Minister’s cooking show involvement case. He also affirmed that the People Power Party has not discussed anyone to take Mr. Samak Sundaravej’s place in the event he must step down from his post. Dr. Surapong asked that all parties wait for the verdict from the tribunal.

Deputy Chart Thai leader Somsak Prisananuntakul (สมศักดิ์ ปริศนานันทกุล) stated that his party would meet this afternoon to discuss the matter but commented that the party will hold to its support for the coalition despite the Constitution Tribunal’s verdict.
