Police submit evidences to court to issue arrest warrants against PAD leaders
August 27th, 2008 - 3:21 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi ( Leave a comment )Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Kowit Wattana requests the Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against leaders of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD).
The deputy premier assigned investigator of Sutthisan Police Station Pol.Maj.Mana Phongchuay (มานะ ผ่องช่วย) to request the court for arrest warrants against five PAD leaders and nine people involved in the group’s seizure of many government places yesterday (August, 26th). Charges which the PAD leaders face include rebellion, attempt to topple the government and deploying forces to create unrest.
Police have submitted photographs and CD recordings of yesterday’s incidents to the court to seek the warrants of the PAD leaders. Police refuse to reveal any information concerning the evidences.
