Metropolitan Police Commander, Police Lieutenant General Assawin Kwanmuang (อัศวิน ขวัญเมือง) that from today throughout the weekend, police will be increasing their security around the People’s Alliance for Democracy gathering. The commander revealed that police presence will be beefed up from 150 officers to 750.
Police Lieutenant General Assawin indicated that he has spoken to PAD leaders and also other groups to affirm a state of non-violence. He also affirmed that no metallic barricades will be placed in front of the Parliament building.
