The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit and inspect the flood situation in Lop Buri province this afternoon.
Deputy Minister of Interior Prasong Kositanont (ประสงค์ โฆษิตานนท์) commended Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat’s decision to personally inspect and remedy the flood situation in Lop Buri province. The PM is scheduled to travel to the province this afternoon.
Mr. Prasong said that it is a welcome fact that PM is taking an active role in resolving the situation with the Deputy of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reporting that there are still 8 provinces currently experiencing problems due to flood waters. Inspections are continuing to assess the impacts of flooding following the distribution of aid in 24 provinces.
Deputy Minister of Public Health Vichan Meenchainun (วิชาญ มีนชัยนันท์) stated that he will accompany the PM today to visit citizens affected by flooding and expedite assistance.
