PM takes part in preparing for 14th ASEAN summit
November 5th, 2008 - 10:13 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe Prime Minister will this morning chair a meeting in preparation for the upcoming 14th ASEAN leaders summit to take place in Chiang Mai province in December this year.
Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat will preside over preparations to hold the 14th ASEAN summit at 8:30 AM today. He will meet with other members of the organizational committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including Deputy Prime Minister and Miniter of Foreign Affairs Sompong Amornwiwat (สมพงษ์ อมรวิวัฒน์). The summit is set to take place from December 13th to 18th at the Shagri-La Hotel in Chiang Mai.
At 10 AM, the PM will proceed to a meeting on driving government policies where he will meet with his deputy premier for economy Olarn Chaipravat (โอฬาร ไชยประวัติ).
