Petrol prices to be reduced by 60 Satangs this Friday
September 18th, 2008 - 1:13 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiPetroleum and PTT Plc, Bangchak and Shell Thailand announced to further reduce the price of benzene and diesel petrol groups by 60 satang a litre despite the increase of crude oil price by 6 dollars a barrel. This is due to the US’ crude oil and benzene petrol reserves which have subsided by 6.3 and 3.3 million barrels, respectively. Also this adjustment is the lowest in the last 17 years, as being caused by the Ike Hurricane that struck the Texas Coast and led to a closedown of crude oil refineries. Meanwhile, the depreciation of the US dollar has also contributed to the increase in crude oil price.
Therefore, prices of petrol in Thailand have been adjusted as follows:
Benzene 91 at 35.19 Baht a litre Gasohol 95 at 27.69 Baht a litre Gasohol 91 at 26.89 Baht a litre Diesel B2 at 30.74 Baht a litre Diesel B5 at 30.04 Baht a litre
This announcement will be effective from this coming Friday, September 19th at 5:00 A.M.
