Parliament to hold Mothers Day celebration from 11-22nd of month
August 11th, 2008 - 2:13 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiSecretary-General of the House of Representatives Pitoon Pumhiran (พิทูร พุ่มหิรัญ) led government employees and members of his office to light a ceremonial candle marking the celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday anniversary. The event took place at the ground floor of Parliament building 1 and included traditional songs and dance devoted to Her Majesty. The building has also organized the “Mother of the Land” exhibition showcasing Her Majesty’s biography and Royal Projects as well as the “Mother and Child Tie of Affection” exhibition which is a collection of photo’s illustrating the mother-child bond. The showcase will continue from today until the 22nd of August and on the 13th a health check up and free health oriented massage will be on offer at the Parliament.
