The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) are enroute to the Democracy Monument and have declared their intention to surround it for about an hour. PAD requests people to avoid using Ratchadamnoen Road.

The PAD protestors, led by Somsak Kosaisuk (สมศักดิ์ โกศัยสุข), Phiphob Thongchai (พิภพ ธงไชย), Somkiat Phongpaiboon (สมเกียรติ พงษ์ไพบูลย์), and Suriyasai Katasila (สุริยะใส กตะศิลา), have arrived at the monument at about 10.00 hrs. The protestors have marched peacefully to the monument to declare their mission to prevent the constitutional amendment and protect the nation\’s sovereignty. The PAD\’s march has resulted in heavy traffic congestion around Ratchadamnoen Road.

The protesters will then travel to Wat Phra Kaew (วัดพระแก้ว) to pay homage to revered spirits, asking them to protect the country.
