PAD end minor stand off resulting in attempted arrests last night
August 28th, 2008 - 11:11 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe People’s Alliance for Democracy rally taking place at the Government House has begun to calm after a particularly tense night in which protesters prepared to deter police from arresting the PAD leaders.
After the tentative stand off, a portion of the protesters retired to sleep in the early morning and others vacated the area after seeing that police were not attempting to dissolve the rally.
PAD Leader Major General Chamlong Srimuang (จำลอง ศรีเมือง) has called on volunteers to to guard the rally and has also issued an order of organization to the rally.
