PAD declare agreement with Political Reform committee
September 29th, 2008 - 11:14 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiLeaders of the People’s Alliance for Democracy yesterday voiced their agreement with suggestions that an independent committee be formed to handle political reform.
People’s Alliance for Democracy leaders Major General Chamlong Srimuang, Piphop Thongchai (พิภพ ธงไชย) and Somsak Kosaisuk (สมศักดิ์ โกศัยสุข) held a press conference yesterday to declare their agreement with the concept of a “political reform committee” suggested by University Presidents of 24 institutions. The group also said that they concur with respected citizen Dr. Praves Wasee (ประเวศ วะสี) who said that organizations in all sectors should take part in a new political environment as the current politically arena has reached a point of no future. The PAD urges that the reform committee be established as soon as possible and revealed that it would meet to discuss its “new politics” concept against on the first of October.
