Outgoing Minister of Industry asks successor to carry on SME and eco-car policies

Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Industry, Mr. Suwit Khunkitti (สุวิทย์ คุณกิตติ), is asking the new Minister for Industry to carry on his work in the Small and Medium Enterprise sector, and in the production of energy conservative vehicles.

The former Deputy Prime Minister asks that his replacement push for liquidity in the SME sector in order to account for businesses which the Bank of Thailand is unable to assist. Mr. Suwit also calls for increased funding to the SME Bank in order to allow the institute to improve its efficiency and further develop trade seal standards, steps which the former Deputy Prime Minister believes will stabilize Thailand\’s economy during current periods of economic competition.

Mr. Suwit also conveyed to his successor that support for the national sugar cane legislature should continue. He adds that other important areas which should not be neglected include eco car production, the steel industry, the lifestyle industry, and the electonics industry.
