September 24th, 2008 - 1:20 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi
- Director-General of the Department of Air Transport Chaisak Angsuwan (ชัยศักดิ์ อังค์สุวรรณ) today revealed the reasons for the issuance of a third suspension to air travel certification for One-Two-Go Airlines by 30 days. Mr. Chaisak stated that until now the carrier has fulfilled 30% of its required improvements to reattain its certification. He stated that if the airline fails to complete all required revampings within the allotted time of this third suspension, the department will have to consider extending the suspension.
The director-general mentioned however that if One-Two-Go does not fully meet its requirements it may face losing its certification all together. In such a situation, the company would have to re-apply for certification to return to the air.
