One-Two-Go Airlines grounded for another 30 days
September 22nd, 2008 - 10:40 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiDirector-General of Civil Aviation, Mr. Chaisak Angkasuwan (ชัยศักดิ์ อังค์สุวรรณ), has issued an extra 30 days service suspension to budget airline One-Two-Go Airlines on the airline’s poor safety standard.
One-Two-Go Airlines’s AOC Air Operator Certificate has been suspended for the 3rd time.
At the same time, Director of Aviation Security Standard Bureau, Mr. Wutthichai Singhamanee (วุฒิชัย สิงหมณี), claims the improvement of aviation security of the budget airline has been tested unsatisfactorily especially in its manual improvement and responsibility allocation of airline personnel.
Services of a budget airline Orient Thai Airlines were also suspended, especially its carriers MD 80.
