Office of Attorney General calls first hearing of PPP dissolution case
September 25th, 2008 - 2:13 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiDeputy Attorney General Julasingha Wasansingha (จุลสิงห์ วสันตสิงห์), acting as head of the working committee for the People Power Party dissolution case, has called the committee to its first meeting since the red card issuance to former House Speaker Yongyuth Thiyaphairat (ยงยุทธ ติยะไพรัช) on charges of electoral fraud.
The Office of the Attorney General only yesterday forwarded the dissolution case of the Matchima Thipathai and Chart Thai parties to the Constitution Tribunal. The cases were submitted to the office by the Election Commission. Mr. Julasingha stated that his committee will give the same amount of attention to the PPP dissolution as it did to its predecessors before forwarding the case to the Constitution Tribunal.
