OCPB to negotiate with PAD so that it may continue workSeptember 4th, 2008 - 11:18 am ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi
Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) Nirot Charoenprakob (นิโรธ เจริญประกอบ) stated that the office has moved its operations to the Public Relations Department facility in Soi Aree Samphan for the time being. Mr. Nirot admitted that the ongoing People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) rally at the Government House has affected the work of the OCPB as citizens have not been able to contact the service and ask for assistance. The main concern of the office is that some cases that are trapped within the government house will exceed their processing time frame and thus be cancelled.
The OCPB is expediting negotiations with the PAD to request it be able to remove needed documents for work. The first 9 months of this year have seen 4,210 consumer cases.
