NCCC executives may take up Phrea Vihear complaints today
July 15th, 2008 - 1:31 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi
Secretary-General of the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) Sarawut Menasawet (ศราวุธ เมนะเศวต) revealed during the group’s meeting today that the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) case against 42 politicians and the Senate’s case against the Cabinet all concerning the handling of the Phrea Vihear National Park case would not be officially made into agenda. However, he noted that he would make the matters known to the NCCC executives and would allow the matter to be within their discretion to consider.
If a sizable amount of NCCC members vote that the matters have enough substantial information to prompt consideration, all individuals cited must cease their work until ruled on by the Senate.
