The Governor of Nan province, Mr Somphong Anuyutthaphong (สมพงษ์ อนุยุทธพงศ์), will be calling a meeting today at 10am hrs to outline guidelines to assist flood-affected people in the province.
The meeting will be attended by the province’s disaster committee and representatives of districts which have been affected by flooding since August 6th, 2008. The meeting will also assess the damage and discuss the distribution of supplies to the flood-affected.
396 villages in eight districts have been affected by inundation. The province is speeding up assessing the damage in the agricultural areas and public infrastructure.
