Nakorn Phanom aids citizens affected by flooding
August 25th, 2008 - 10:34 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiGovernor of Nakorn Phanom province Boonsanong Boonmee (บุญสนอง บุญมี) yesterday traveled to instill morale and distribute 500 aid kits to citizens being affected by flooding in the Na Wha (นาหว้า) district of the province.
Over 200 thousand rai of land in 6 tambon and 68 villages have been inundated with approximately 50 thousand rai of agricultural fields damaged. Initial assistance is being handed by the province while flood levels are steadily reducing. Rain however is continuing in some areas, which may delay the situations return to normal.
