Mrs Poonpirom says new economic advisory team will not affect energy policy

Minister of Energy Poonpirom Liptapanlop (พูนภิรมย์ ลิปตพัลลภ) affirms the government’s new economic advisory team will not affect the ministry’s implementation of energy plans.

Regarding the Cabinet reshuffle and the appointment of a new economic advisory team, Mrs Poonpirom says the ministry will do its utmost to implement the energy policy it has announced to the government. She says the ministry has always listened to opinions about energy of various groups of people.

As for the Cabinet meeting today (August, 5th), the ministry will report the progress of a project to allocate cheap diesel for the coastal fishery group and small shrimp farmers. It will also inform the meeting of the progress of another 50 Satang diesel subsidy by the energy conservation promotion fund.

Mrs Poonpirom states further that the ministry will keep promoting gasohol E85 as national agenda despite the new economic advisory team and expedite the restructuring of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) price.
