Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Choosak Sirinil (ชูศักดิ์ ศิรินิล) affirmed that today would be opening of the Legislative Assembly but stated that there would not be any proposals to amend the constitution. He said that the matter is still be weighed by the Parliament’s committee on the matter as well as the government Whip. Mr. Choosak asked that the People’s Alliance for Democracy be rational and hear out reasons before taking any action as the government has not broken any promises it made during campaigning.
As for the movements of northeastern People Power Party MP’s who have shown dissatisfaction as the recent Cabinet Reshuffle, Mr. Choosak, who is the party’s Deputy Secretary-General said that the matter will not lead to disunity in the party and expressed his belief that an understand can be struck.
