Bangkok, Nov 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police were shocked to the core when they found more than 2,000 fetuses in a Buddhist Temple in Thailand. The discovery came after the police raided the temple this week.

The police initially discovered some 348 fetuses that had been wrapped in polythene bags. However further search into the temple revealed more shocking details. Over two thousand of those packages were discovered in all. The temple was raided after foul smell was being emitted from the temple. A raid on the temple, Wat Phai Ngem revealed the despicable spectacle.

Well authorities say two morticians of the temple are being investigated. One of the suspects, Suchart Poomee has already confessed that he had been paid quack clinics that undertook illegal abortions to dispose off the fetuses. If they are found guilty of concealing the cause of death and hiding dead bodies, Poomee and the other arrested mortician could spend up to a year in jail for the offence.

Investigators have also arrested one of the employees of the clinics that run the illegal abortion. If the suspect, Lanjakorn Jantamanas is found guilty of the charge of running unlicensed medical clinic and performing illegal abortions, she could end up serving five years in jail.
