Krispy Kreme Makes Its Presence In Thailand

krispy-kremeSep 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The company Krispy Kreme has launched its first franchise owned store in Bangkok, Thailand. The store has been launched through its franchisee KDN Company Limited and is in the ownership of Ms. Ausanee Mahagitsiri whose family happens to be one of the largest conglomerates in the country. The store is seen as a first step towards increasing their brand presence in the country. The store with its central location in the business district of Bangkok is expected to do reasonably well. With time one may expect to see the stores expansion numerically not only in Bangkok but throughout Thailand.

The shares of the company is expected to get a boost with this expansion taking place. Bangkok as the Capital of Thailand was an ideal location for their entry in the country. The company has 21 stores in total including the newly opened store in Bangkok. The company is reportedly trying to increase its international presence as is evident form its entry in Thailand. Last month itself the company opened its store in the Dominican Republic through its franchisee, Dominspec, S.A. and has plans for expanding upto 14 stores in the country in the next five years. The business at the store is reported to have got off to a good start with a large number of people visiting the store after it opened on its first day.

Moreover, the store as part of its promotional campaign offered free donuts to its first 200 customers, perhaps the reason for the long line could be attributed to this offer. The company with its plans of expanding overseas will open up 20 more stores in Thailand over the next five years.
