IRPC Vice President Management, Planning, Commerce and Marketing, Suphon Thapthimcharun (สุพล ทับทิมจรูญ), suggests that high-sulfur diesel from Russia should be distributed only to specific sectors sectors.
Mr Suphon says the oil should be sold to those in the agricultural, industrial, and fishery sectors and the government should not apply the regulation which limits the amount of sulfur in imported oil with Russian diesel which has as much as 0.5% sulfur.
The vice president also says if Thailand’s consumption of gasohol E85 increases in the future, it will not affect oil refineries. He says the government’s promotion of gasohol E85 will create income for Thai farmers as ethanol is produced from energy crops.
