Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Police General Kowit Watana (โกวิท วัฒนะ) accompanied by his entourage traveled today from via Police plane to preside over the opening ceremony of a “Interior Ministry Clinic” in Udorn Thani province. The minister will also use this oppurtunity to meet with citizens in the area and visit various government activities taking place in the province.

Tomorrow Police General Kowit is scheduled to join in a ceremony to hand over the flag of the 116 days between mothers and fathers day project which has been initiated throughout the country to spurn unity amongst government agencies. The event will be presided over by Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej who will be in the area to attend a mobile Cabinet meeting.

Police General Kowit declined speaking with the press before his departure amidst heavy police security.
