Deputy Commander of the National Police and Interim Metropolitan Police Commander, Police General Jongrak Jutanont (จงรัก จุฑานนท์) joined other high ranking police officers such as Deputy Commander of the National Police, Police General Viroj Paholvej (วิโรจน์ พหลเวชช์) and Deputy Metropolitan Police Commander Police Major General Suchart Muankaew (สุชาติ เหมือนแก้ว) as well as other related officers to conduct a meeting evaluating the ongoing People’s Alliance for Democracy rally situation.
The rally is continuing into day 102 despite an Emergency Decree issued by the Prime Minister in Bangkok yesterday. Police General Jongrak denied speaking with the press before the meeting and only indicated that the matter is in the authority of the military.
A rally threatened power and water outage at various police stations today has yet to materialize.
