July 28th, 2008 - 11:25 am ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi ( Leave a comment )The Meteorological Department reported at 4 AM today (July 28th) that a strong southwest monsoon over Thailand and a low pressure cell above upper Vietnam cause abundant rainfall with heavy rain throughout Thailand. Due to strong wind and wave conditions in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, all ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep stay ashore during this period.
As Typhoon Fung-Wong will make landfall on Taiwan Island this morning, travelers are advised to check the weather reports before their departure.
Bangkok metropolis and vicinity can expect fairly widespread thundershowers. The daily temperature would range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. The speed of southwesterly winds would be around 15 to 35 kilometers per hour.
