Friends in Need Foundation aid flood victims in Nakorn PhanomAugust 18th, 2008 - 4:50 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi
Deputy Chairman of the Friends in Need (of “PA) Foundation Thai Red Cross Society Aphai Chanthanajullaka (อภัย จันทนจุลกะ) presided this morning over the handing out of aid kits to those affected by flooding in the Muang district of Nakorn Panom province. The ceremony donated 725 kits to local administration to assist 3 tambon in the area. 700 of the kits went to citizens while 25 of the kits were distributed to assist monks and members of the clergy.
Flooding followed the rising of the Mekong River beyond its critical limit. Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsavali Kitiyakara and Her Royal Highness Bajra Kitiyabha, whom both head the foundation expressed concern for the plight of the people and thus called on the foundation to assist them during this time.
