Former AEC Chairman first to take stand in Ratchada land case
July 22nd, 2008 - 2:42 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi ( Leave a comment )The Supreme Court Division for Crimes of Political Position Holders today began its calling of witnesses to the stand for the Ratchada land purchase case which involves former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his wife Khunying Potjaman Shinawatra. The Attorney General’s Office today called on former Assets Examination Committee Chairman Nam Yimyaem (นาม ยิ้มแย้ม) to take the stand along with former Manager of the Business Rehabilitation Fund and Accounting Development Somjainuek Engtrakool (สมใจนึก เองตระกูล) as well as officers of the organization.
Mr. Nam traveled to the court with a team of his attorneys and met with the courts 9 judges as the first witness.
