The Department of Export Promotion reports that many provinces in China have expressed interests in purchasing Thai agricultural products.

Commercial Consul to Xiamen Thirawan Thongprasert (ถิรวรรณ ทองประเสริฐ) says interesting markets in China are in the provinces of Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Henan, and Shaanxi. Products which are likely to hit the markets are those in the agricultural sector.

However, Ms Thirawan says Thai agricultural entrepreneurs still face the problem of delays in product inspection by the Chinese Government. The Ministry of Commerce is negotiating with the Chinese Government to facilitate the entrepreneurs and exporters, the commercial consul says.
