EC to review electoral fraud case of Deputy Democrat Leader today
September 11th, 2008 - 11:39 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiSecretary-General of the Election Commission (EC) Suthipol Taweechaikarn (สุทธิพล ทวีชัยการ) stated that the EC meeting will review objections to over 20 Senators and MPs with one of the reviewed casing involving Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party Witoon Nambutr (วิฑูรย์ นามบุตร). Mr. Witoon’s case involves possible electoral fraud in Ubonratchathani province.
A special committee reviewing the case recently submitted its report to the Central EC and the committee will be present during the review. The commission will however have the last say on whether the case can be concluded today.
