The Department of Water Resources has indicated that due to heavy rains in Myanmar, the water level in the Mae Sai River has risen above the river bank and has caused flooding throughout the Mae Sai region.
The department’s warning stations issued a warning at 5 AM this morning and has asked that citizens closely follow the situation. The department states that noticeable cloud build ups can still be seen and more rains can be expected to escalate the situation.
